(then ‘will rodger’ sold me his ‘fender hot rod deluxe amplifier’ in ‘spring 2005’ for (under?) $500)
(it was my first ‘tube amplifier’)
(afer years of ‘toy amps’)
*EXTREMELY (!!!) LOUD!!!*
(the ‘main volume’ knob went to ’10’ but it was already deafeningly loud at ‘3’)
(i used this amp to record many songs on “finest hour”…)
(before i sold it to ‘springfield guitar center’ in ‘fall 2006′ when i was again in (dire financial straits’)
(i probably got way lowballed by ‘mikey tag’)
(by that time i had already acquired the ‘VOX AC30’)
(though in many ways i preferred the ‘hot rod deville’)
(‘vox ac30’ seemed very ‘clean’)
(not as much ‘natural distortion’)
(i just picked it out because ‘brian may’ (‘queen guitarist’) used them
in november 2012, the professor bought me a new fender g-dec amplifier for the “misanthropos” movie shoot
(it was cheaper to buy an amp than to rent one)
“merry christmas!”…
in 2009 i’d had “borrowed” my younger cousin matthew crowley’s earlier fender g-dec but i was forced to sell it in summer 2012 to pay the rent…
the great thing about these amplifiers is the built-in backing beats…
i played several shows to these backing beats…
(the professor finally shipped it to me in ‘january 2013’ (but it was missing the power chord))
