“OVER-THE-HILL WANNABE ARTISTS”

(taking up too much ‘spacetime’)
(aka “old and fat”)
(as egomaniacal and thoroughly untalented baby boomers have crowded out / watered down all potential ‘starter venues’ in most relatively hip urban areas)
i got cranky thinking about desperate untalented persistent old men
(and the sympathy they are able to drudge up for their forgotten art even as i create neglected art in the midst of it all)
made me sick how these 50+ year old men are being consoled by friends without a trace of criticism
(“if the listening public were “fair”, it’d be you “making millions”!)
as if just because their music was somehow “better” than the current #1 artist, then they too deserve to make as much money!
(instead of considering the hordes of other “deserving artists” and concluding that no one person should be making that amount of money)
i say, since these aging figures obviously don’t have strong voices, then they’d better be writing remarkable music for their circles to consider them worthy of even making a living making music…
meanwhile me with my outstanding voice and groundbreaking music is forced to keep silent because of the coloreds who lord over me at a welfare motel…
