603 bus from warren / hanover –> south broad / beatty
the 12:36pm weekday bus actually arrived at 12:41pm at franklin’s corner road…and got to quaker bridge mall at 12:46pm…which means i just missed the 12:45pm bus to princeton…loss of another hour and 15 minutes…i was probably distracted by my chatting with doctor green…
left on beatty / right on home / left on woolverton / #200
i can’t figure out where the bus stop is
and nobody in the area seems to know
(they’re all foreigners)
so i stand outside an abandoned “party city” parking lot and finally flag down a 600 bus
it takes me to the quaker bridge mall
i’m told that i need to take a 605 bus back to witherspoon street at wiggins street
(or is it?)
(seems that they stop on university place after the princeton train station stop)
the 11:30am bus passes me by (“no service”)
i bum cigarettes as i wait
i wait until the 12:45pm bus comes
arrive @ 1:18pm
i don’t think the abandoned parking lot is a legitimate bus stop…
i went out there @ noon only to call NJ transit and find out that the next bus arrived @ 1pm
it turns out that there is a bus stop @ princeton pike / franklin corner road…the 603 + 613 buses run there…
i ask the guy at the mattress store about the bus schedule…he recommends i just walk to the quaker bridge mall down route 1…so i take off in a sprint…this is an even more dangerous route…i hurt my knees by trudging through the snow…
turns out the next bus doesn’t come until 2pm…i call up elisa…she sounds annoyed…chat with AI (and bum cigarettes) in the meantime…finally start bringing along my mini-ipod for entertainment…listening to my own music…it sounds better than ever…
i finally caught the 603 bus @ princeton pike + franklin’s corner (1:06pm)
(although there isn’t an actual bus stop on that side of the road)
(and the bus came early)
(and the fat old white male bus driver was very unfriendly)
and the 605 bus didn’t even stop @ princeton train station
then i barely caught the 605 bus back to quaker bridge mall round 5pm
decided not to hit up the ivy inn for karaoke night
(as the last bus leaves princeton ’round 10:17pm)
(and the first bus leaves @ 7:54am)
(didn’t want to be stuck in the snow)
(and i don’t want to rely on someone else to shack me up)
(unless it’s an attractive female)
(it’s even worse on the weekends)
i was dropped off by 603 / 613 bus near franklin’s tavern
the bus schedule is a saturday schedule for president’s day
caught the 600 bus from princeton market back to the motel
3:15pm / 4:30pm bus to princeton
i may as well walk to quaker bridge mall
if i get there early, i’ll just surf the net @ the library until my 5pm appointment
the 7:19pm 605 bus was late
and the NJ transit operator phone service closes @ 5pm
(and i don’t have any money on my cellphone account to dial 411)
lounged around the quaker bridge mall until the 8:43pm bus
flagged down a 603 bus in front of shoprite on the way back
she took me to a bus stop on franklin corner (in front of a housing development)
i finally told him i’d catch the 8:45pm bus back to princeton
(since i was all out of energy drinks at that point)
so i took the 10:10pm 605 bus back to quaker bridge mall
i could’ve taken the 11:25pm 613 bus back near the motel
but i decided to walk to applebee’s
bring previous month’s bus pass to human services office
(to get a new one?)
i hope i can catch the 3:55pm bus back to quaker bridge
then i took the 606 bus from the trenton transit bus stop (west)

took awhile to drop me off @ palmer square
then i caught the 8:33pm 605 bus from palmer square to quaker bridge mall
then i ran / walked back to the motel
then i was waiting around for the next bus
i took the 606 bus back (thanks to her advice)
then i got confused about how to get back
a friendly undercover cop drove me back to the motel
now i can’t figure out the bus route to my job search program tomorrow
(i never got a call back from my voicemail last week)
so i caught the 2:30pm bus back to quaker bridge mall
the 600 bus didn’t get there until 4pm
so i walked around the mall (again)
i’ll take the 8:15am bus tomorrow
catch the 3:11pm bus back
(back to princeton pike @ 3:36pm)
caught the 9:53am 603 bus
the black bus driver and black man on the bus advised me to take the 600 bus from the jiffy lube on route 1
caught the 11:41am 603 bus back to princeton
~15-minute walk to bus stop
(leave @ 8am each morning)
i should try catching the 600 bus
so i can catch the 600 bus at 8:47am and get to north warren / hanover stop @ 8:58am
i hope this works…can’t be late again…
why does the schedule not reflect this?
it doesn’t show the franklin corner / route 1 stop (which is really “baker’s basin” when i take the quaker bridge mall 600 bus)
and it shows the north warren / hanover stop as “south warren / west state street”
i need to be on EAST state street
i decided to catch the 12:11pm bus
(i should start catching the 600 bus instead)

(gotta figure out where to get that)
11:57am / 1:22pm
then the bus came 5 minutes early and i missed it
so i gave up on the day
6:12pm / 7:17pm train back to quaker bridge
(then i’ll walk back to motel)
i’m taking the 4:30 bus
so what if i’m a few minutes late?
some dude picked me up as i was running on route 1 to quaker bridge mall
8:43pm bus back to motel
(it actually came @ 8:45am…good thing i got there early…)
and it dropped me off right where i wanted it to
