(even though i’ve never had an ‘external hard drive’ fail on me (yet), i did inadvertently wipe out a 1TB hard drive out in ‘april 2012’)
.
(this hard drive contained my work from january 2010 – march 2011 (a most definite creative peak))
(i had just purchased a new external hard drive and in the process of reformatting the drive for the imac, i selected the wrong external hard drive to reformat (both drives were “maxtor” and came up on the options list with identical names))
(this was one of the most devastating mistakes of my life…)
(and i’ve had 2 computers crash on me already)
(both containing important files that i hadn’t bothered to back up)
(in most cases, it was more that i had run out of space on my ‘external hard drives’ and couldn’t afford a new one)
