“7th avenue station” (brooklyn) (busking log)

27 JANUARY 2017:

(went there earlier on a friday night)
(only because i needed to make $2.75 in subway fare)
(for dinner @ 6pm)
(got there at 5pm)
(it’s much busier then my usual 9:30pm spot)
(but a lazy old black guitarist was there)
(not even singing, just occasional lazy strumming)
(wonder how much he makes)
(i’ve seen him there once before)
(so i didn’t even bother competing)
(though i could’ve set up on the other side)
(which seems to get more traffic anyway)
(along with the professional black beggar at the top of the subway entrance)
(“please help me get something to eat…please…”)
(I HATE HIS VOICE!)
(i saw him begging nearby at the chase manhattan ATM a few blocks down that day)
(holding the door open for people)
(does ANYONE actually give those people money?)
(so i went to “grand army plaza” as a last resort)

(beginning in january 2017, i’ve been busking on a nightly basis @ this station)

(google maps indicates the distance is 1.7 miles from my apartment)
(37-minute walk)
(north on rogers avenue)
(left on lefferts street)
(right on flatbush avenue)
(the station is on left side of street)
(before 24-hour “duane reader”)
(before ‘atlantic avenue – barclays center’)
(i can make it there in a half hour)
