(but my playing style was thoroughly disparaged by both parents whenever i played on the “family piano” (even though no one else did))
(the old man once complimented me in 2009)

(before that he stated ‘piano’s not your thing’)
(but he admits that i’m a ‘great guitarist’)
(in 2009 the old man criticized me as i doodled on the family piano)
(he and emily got piano lessons from marta blumberg before i started playing guitar)
(why didn’t i?)
(i probably should’ve)
(think i was too busy back then)
(they both have since given up)
(but can still play a few pieces)
(michael anthony had some talent for the piano)
(all related to ‘propensity for muscle memory’)
(in my early life i used to fiddle around on grandma skip’s ‘organ’)
(because of my beatles obsession)
(i dug the image of paul mccartney singing at the piano)
(john was also decent on the piano)

(ringo certainly wasn’t!)
(learned ‘hey jude’ melody from an ‘easy piano’ workbook in skip’s organ bench)
i fantasized about all types of keyboard setups:
the hammond organ (drawbar)
the “tack piano”
(i recorded my first music on my younger brother’s casio keyboard)
(in middle school)
(mostly for the ‘automatic backing track’ on the casio)
(i recorded ’emily is laying the heat’)
(and a few beatles songs on my mother’s GE tape recorder (from the 1970s?))
