*an ‘executive order’ titled “protecting the ‘nation’ from ‘foreign terrorist entry’ into the ‘united states'” was signed by ‘president donald trump’ on ’27 january 2017’*

.

(it heavily restricts both the ‘travel’ and ‘immigration’ of persons from several predominantly ‘muslim’ countries in the ‘middle east’ and ‘africa’)

(the ‘order’ suspends the “USA Refugee Admissions Program” (‘USRAP’) for 120 days as well as entry of people from ‘libya’, ‘iran’, ‘iraq’, ‘somalia’, ‘sudan’, ‘syria’, and ‘yemen’, regardless of ‘visa status’ or ‘permanent residency’, for ’90 days’, with exceptions on a ‘case-by-case basis’)

(on ’28 january 2017′, an estimated 100–200 travelers were detained in ‘USA airports’ due to this ‘order’, and hundreds were prevented from boarding “USA-bound flights”)

(the ‘order’ prompted ‘international criticism’, protests in new york’s “John F. Kennedy International Airport” and at other “USA airports, and a lawsuit from the “american civil liberties union” (‘ACLU’))

(a ‘federal court’ in ‘new york’ temporarily halted parts of the ‘order’ on ’28 january 2017′, but the court has neither let the affected people into the ‘country’ nor ruled on the ‘constitutionality’ of the order itself)

(on ’29 january 2017′, another federal court in ‘boston’ temporarily barred the detention of the affected people “who, absent the ‘executive order’, would be legally authorized to enter the ‘united states'”)

.

(this ‘court order’ restores the ability for ‘lawful immigrants’ from the 7 barred nations to enter the ‘USA’)
