(i bought my ‘taylor 414CE’ in before quitting my job @ ‘springfield NJ guitar center’ the very next day)
(‘rocco’ + ‘mikey b’ were pissed)
(they were working late and i was escaping the ‘grind’)
(and presumably onto ‘greener pastures’)

OCTOBER 2014:
cracked the taylor acoustic guitar at the base of the neck…
drunkenly rose out of bed as the guitar was leaning against it and it must’ve slammed into my desk chair…
i’ve done this many times before but it never caused any noticeable damage…
because i’m living in a tiny motel room and don’t have my guitar stands…
and i record the guitar so much that i usually leave it out of its case…
should i go to a certified taylor shop or just a normal guitar repair shop?
do i have money to pay for it?
this is my sole moneymaker right now.
can i borrow someone else’s acoustic guitar?
at any rate, the guitar needs to be set up, the pickup needs to be fixed, and the guitar needs to be redecorated…
i’ll have to start recording songs for AI in order to earn some escape route money…
only because i had a horrible week…
this was the final punishment for my nasty behavior…

*27 OCTOBER 2014*
cheryl drove me to russo music on monday afternoon
i decided not to bring the guitar…

*OCTOBER 2015*
broke the guitar neck AGAIN
(same exact injury as october 2014)
i was biking to arv’s house on a wednesday afternoon
(to rehearse for the friday night gig @ rail house)
i decided to pack electric + acoustic guitar in same carrying case
(because i was planning on busking in princeton later that day)
i rode on the right sidewalk on darrah lane
(shouldn’t be riding bikes on the sidewalk!)
rode under a small tree and the guitar necks made contact with a branch
(didn’t seem to be traumatic)
i quickly checked the guitar neck after the incident and didn’t see any damage…
when i got back to arv’s pad i noticed that the neck was cracked at the base
(and had the same distorted action as the october 2014 accident)
i dropped it off @ russo music the following week when cheryl came for a visit
(matt bernard recommended a new neck)
(i needed to give them a new phone #)
(i tried calling on wednesday but matt bernard was out)
(i got in contact with him on 13 october 2015)
(tuesday morning)
(the guitar neck price went up by $50)
(he ordered the new neck from taylor)
(another “early christmas present” from cheryl)
(for the second year in a row)
(at first she offered to buy me a new guitar)
(he’ll get the ball rolling this week)
(perhaps it will be ready by saturday)
(before cheryl leaves for her trip to israel)
the taylor guitar “expression” system is used to plug the guitar into an amplifier.
i hardly ever use this feature
(as i find i get a better recorded sound out of mic’ing the guitar).
but when i play solo gigs, i’m often forced to rely on my electric guitar.
this is because the batteries that power the system (two AAs) often start “leaking” and subsequently get stuck inside the guitar.
when i was living in NYC, i took my guitar to the local taylor repair shop and they removed the batteries for me.
they recommended wrapping the batteries with a post-it note.
but that didn’t seem to work…
the guitar is in dire need of redecoration…
and i’ve stopped using the humidifier with the guitar…
it’s been too banged up over the years for me to care any longer…
i should always have a spare acoustic guitar on hand…
unfortunately i’ve tended to pawn all my old equipment over the years…
