“apocalypse now” (reviews)

(according to brit reviewer:)

“’good morning !’ rambles out on the ambling sing-a-long ‘cosmic creep’, hopefully not a reference the beloved bolan. i think not”

(according to “TAXI”:)

the guitarist really stands out on this one too.

in fact, the entire ensemble sounds really distinctive. it’s as if you’re all seasoned professionals, but you decided to switch instruments right before they rolled tape.  in a way that approach is very regressive. you’re obviously quite skilled, but have chosen to play in a deliberately loose manner. It’s structured but very chaotic at the same time. I think that’s actually an incredibly interesting approach, but unfortunately, doesn’t really suit the folks who placed this listing.

they’re searching for stuff that more easily slots in with contemporary bands like fleet foxes, Espers, Vetiver, Devendra Banhardt, Six Organs of Admittance, etc.

(who is “they”?)
