“‘sonic love affairs from ‘afar’…”
(but if you wanna get close…)
(i’ll be a’leaving the doors ajar)
.
“SPRING 1996” –>
(‘6th grade’ –> ‘7th grade’)
(‘age 11’ –> ‘age 12’)
(along with a process called ‘puberty’)
(which works in mysterious ways…)
(middle school chorus performs beatles songs for spring chorus concert)
(i don’t have any featured solos)
(the parts mostly went to girls)
(corinne melville sang “ticket to ride”)
(carin glaser sang “hey jude”)
(natalie declerq sang “the long and winding road”)
(vosseller’s class sang “let it be”)
(i start listening to “anthology 1”)
(until i get “anthology 2”)
(everyone else dismissed the beatles as “old music”)
(it was considered ‘corny’ to listen to them back then)
(all but ‘kathleen’ told me that her older brother and all the kids in high school listened to ‘the beatles’ and other ‘old bands’)
.
“SPRING 1997” –>
(‘weisinger computer class’)
(i make a beatles “proto-website”)
(which isn’t posted to the internet)
(it played clips of ‘beatles songs’)
(“get back” was played for every ‘back button’)
(which annoyed the helll out of ‘corinne’ in ‘computer class’)
(‘7th grade’ marked end of ‘single classroom model’)
(and the requiremen to ‘walk in line’ whenever we left the room)
(to ‘different rooms’ for ‘different classes’)
*end of ‘elementary totalitarian’ era*
