(i’d never before been into musical theater and i’d assumed that mark blumberg (who starred as a ‘6th grader’ in “once upon a mattress”) would get the lead role…)
(i only tried out for the ‘albert peterson’ role because the music teacher ‘janet fenner’ explained that (despite the title of the play), ‘albert peterson’ was the real star of the show…)
(i also tried out for the “conrad birdie” character and assumed that i’d probably land that role)
(that role went to ‘shane taylor’)
(and the rest (as they say) is ‘history’…)
