(i took a nap until jackie arrived @ 6:30pm with arv)
(awkward reunion)
(because i had defriended her)
(and never paid her for the keyboard)
(we parked near court tavern)
(i replaced the high E string on electric guitar)
(because matt bernard cut the strings too short)
(and it fell out when i tried tuning the string at arv’s pad)
(i also replaced a G string right before we played)
(i was fortunate enough to have an extra pair of electric strings)
(i was about to use an acoustic string)

(nobody else was playing electric guitar)
(signed up with britney behind the bar)
(she said we’d go on at 9:15pm)
(it was ~7:30pm)
(we actually went on ’round 10:30pm)

(joe took a CD (but didn’t have any money of course))
(my voice was in good form)

(i assumed we had a noise complaint)

(make banter about my pharmaceutical drug of choice)
(and arv almost getting into a fight with a diner @ the vegan joint next door)
(bummed cigarettes outside)
(drank the rest of the majorska vodka)
(in arv’s blue bag)
(mixed with orange crush)
(inside the bar)
(and arv + jackie bought me PBRs for $4)
(and i grabbed a floater autumn beer)
(i need to book another slot @ court tavern)
(i thanked britney for booking us @ rail house)
(and she seemed confused)
(i smoothed it out with her later)
(we packed all the drums into jackie’s car)
(i also brought my acoustic guitar)
(we drove back to jackie’s house to get stoned)
(she told me to apologize to her mother for “being a drunken fool”)
(back in january)
(but her mother was already asleep by the time we got there)
(we smoked out of her fancy bowl)
(arv was being a drunken fool this time)
(swinging a huge branch in her backyard)
(i was afraid to use her computer in case she was reminded of the keyboard spill)
(but i eventually relented when she went to sleep round 4am)
(she wanted arv in her bed)
(i slept on her basement couch)

(but i didn’t sleep much)
