(i should be happy to hear this as it indicates that i chose the most rewarding “life path”)
(it’s because i know they are glorifying other musicians (living or dead) at the expense of my own music)
(authors like ‘schopenhauer’ / ‘nietzsche’ / ‘jonathan franzen’ etc would all be wagnerian composers if they could)
(same goes for athletes)
(but not many (successful) musicians would want to be writers or athletes instead)
