(knowing full well that their leaders would either send him to a laboratory to study him or simply execute him)
his appearance has been “optimized”
(to facilitate sensory perception)
as predicted, the humans perceive “boy E” as a legitimate threat due to his unprecedented appearance…

his feline disciples (including “garcia”) abandon him…

leo communicates with macca (the commander of “spacecraft z”) for advice on dealing with this threat

he receives a response…

macca advises leo to proceed

leo is taken into custody…
the authorities do not know what to make of him…
is he a threat or a savior?
the US government – funded research laboratory seeks to determine whether leo can willingly avoid his “fate”
