(‘grandma naj’ turns 91)
(i call her from animal’s princeton bedroom)
(and then she proceeds to diss me)
(“what do you do all day?”)
(i called up the house line in the afternoon)
(while i was smoking + drinking with anawa in his bedroom)
(aunt tammy answered the phone and gave it to grandma)
(she started verbally attacking me:)
“what do you do all day?”
“you were always smart…you’re too damn smart!”
“you’d better get yourself straightened out!”
“do something with your life!”
“we all miss you”
(this echoed grandma skip’s admonishment when i moved out of her house in february 2012)
(i don’t think i ever saw her in person again)
(she died in spring 2013)
(maybe i drunk dialed her from the shorehouse a few times)
(grandma naj has hated me since october 2010)
(when i told off tony)
(and brought up grandma skip)
(she was always jealous of skip)
(like tony was jealous of jimmy)
(i kept my composure when she said these things)
(although it really made me angry)
