“revolution” (themes)

(1968 ‘beatles’ single)
(b-side to “hey jude”)
(released 26 august 1968)

(john lennon song)

(a slower version in ‘Amajor’ included on the “white album”)
(this was first recorded version)
(referred to as “revolution 1”)
(which was supposed to be “paired together” with “revolution #9” somehow)
(good luck!)

(he wanted to release that version as the next beatles single)
(mccartney and harrison argued that was “too slow”)
(so the macca haters will inevitably describe this as “mccartney not want to stir any controversy”)

(so they recorded a fast version at lennon’s insistence)
(wrote and rehearsed it on “9 july 1968”)
(recorded it on “10 july 1968”)

(is it in “Bb blues” or “B blues”?)
(or somewhere in between?)
