(in ‘may 2014’, i was given a ticket for “improper crossing of pedestrian on highway” after being struck by a car on stockton street in princeton NJ)
should be a $44 ticket…
since there was personal injury involved (me!) i must appear at princeton municipal court (400 witherspoon street) on 13 may 2014 @ 9am…

i was taking the 3:04pm 606 bus from 102 north broad street in trenton NJ to palmer square in princeton NJ…
i had been working at the job search program at mercer county community college…
the bus actually arrived 2 minutes early and i chased it down for 2 bus stops…
then it stopped right in front of the princeton human services office…
i was going to pick up my monthly $98 check…
another passenger requested the stop…
i assumed that the bus would stop at palmer square (since every time i’ve ridden the bus i’ve never seen a driver let off passengers at a non-designated stop)….
instead of going to the nearest crosswalk, i crosseed the street behind a large truck (which was behind my bus)…
the time was approximately 3:45pm (a beautiful sunny day)…
by the time i made it to the other lane, the car coming right hit me on my right side…
i fell to the adjacent sidewalk…
the driver was “bogdana popovych” from trenton NJ…
the reporting officer was kimberly carter…

the witness (the driver of the car behind the large truck i crossed) reported that i hadn’t looked right as well…
(the other witness (a passenger in a schoolbus traveling behind the car of witness #1) reported that i “just ran across the road”…)
