(“desperado” is a song written by eagles group members ‘glenn frey’ and ‘don henley’)
(it appeared on the 1973 album desperado and numerous compilation albums)
(it was one of the groups best known songs and ranked #494 on Rolling Stone‘s 2004 list of “the 500 greatest songs of all time”)
(a “desperado” is spanish for “outlaw”)
(i discovered song during one summer down the shore @ the “chadwick beach island” house)
(possibly summer 1999)
(i must’ve been around 14)
(a faint memory of being at the kenwell beachhouse where a young jordana cohen was following me around)
(i discovered the song on my parents’ “hell freezes over” CD and start listening to it on repeat)
(although that was the live version)
(the old man mistakenly thought that it was a ‘joe walsh song’)
(as he explained to me when it came on Q104.3? in his car as we pulled into the warren A+P parking lot)
(later i realized that joe walsh had played the song on the ‘howard stern’ show once)
(and that’s where the old man probably got his mistaken information)
(even though he was 19 years old when the song was first released)
