“juliana” (origins)

(based off one of don juan’s guitar riffs)

(wrote it freshman year of high school)

(based off structure of “sweet home alabama”)
(another song don juan taught me that year)

(references “julie litwin”)
(greenbrook girl)
(busty blonde)
(trainer jen basini’s assistant)
(first encountered her during freshman football)
(then wrestling)
(she was dating a 20-year-old then)
(a former mister watchung hills)

(one of the last songs i recorded for “finest hour”)
(down at the chadwick beach island house)
(spring 2006)

(michael anthony dug the panned guitars)
(dubbed it a “touch of genius” when i played it to him in the car)
(i was never a fan of the song)

(but ‘nora salim’ also dug the song)
(she discovered it on my purevolume page in ‘fall 2006’)
(she had a friend named “juliana”)

(so had i not recorded this song, i wouldn’t have had the opportunity to hook up with nora in the ‘east village’ over 3 years later)
