(a young drunk girl named “katalina” approached me outside the club)
(looking for a lighter)
(she had been booted out of the club earlier in the evening)
(she was a freckle-faced hispanic girl)
(from bensonhurst)
(went to arizona state)
(i wanted to go play songs for her on my acoustic guitar)
(though washington square park had just closed)
(but she insisted on getting into a cab)
(not knowing where we were going)
(i had no money)
(she said she had money)
(so i told cabbie to go to the first place that came to my head)
(“9th and 1st” in the east village)
(then she flaked on paying him)
(i offered to give the dude my portable phone charger)
(but i eventually bailed)
(went back to greenwich village to sleep)
(first i went into WSP which was still open)
(then the cops closed the park)
(so i went to my second usual spot)
(until the sprinklers came on)
(i found a third useful spot)
(it was a warm night)
(i slept well)
(and was out cold until 11am)
(then i headed to the ‘soho apple store’)
