On weekdays, the N runs express in Manhattan between 34th Street-Herald Square and Canal Street, with weekday local service being provided by the W, a branch of the N.
On weekends, it makes all stops in Manhattan, with all trains being signed as N.
Daytime service runs over the south side of the Manhattan Bridge and runs express along Fourth Avenue.
