Blank recordable DVD discs (DVD-R and DVD+R) can be recorded once using a DVD recorder and then function as a DVD-ROM. Rewritable DVDs (DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM) can be recorded and erased many times.

i haven’t purchased any DVDs in years. do they manufacture them any better nowadays? or do they still start skipping after you go out and buy an expensive set like ‘the sopranos’ seasons or beatles anthologies? when those started skipping on me, i was turned off to DVDs for good. i’m glad i was.
probably would’ve wasted a lot more time…
