Adjust color in the Lumetri Color panel

Choose the Color workspace to display the Lumetri Color panel and reposition other panels conveniently for color adjustment work.

Use the Basic Correction section in the Lumetri Color panel to adjustment clip brightness or change a color cast.

To enable or disable any section in the Lumetri Color panel, click the check box for the section.

This makes it easy to compare results with the original look.

To reset a setting in the Lumetri Color panel, double-click its control.

Switch back to the Editing workspace when you have finished making ‘color adjustments’

Apply a look

Switch to the Color workspace by choosing Window > Workspaces > Color.

Open a clip in the Source Monitor to see its original appearance side-by-side with the version you’re working on in the sequence.

In the Lumetri Color panel, use the Look drop-down menu to apply a Look,

or use the Looks Preset Thumbnail viewer (>) to browse Looks,

and then click the preview to apply the Look to the clip.

Combine a prebuilt Look with other adjustments in the Lumetri Color panel.

What you learned: Apply creative adjustments

Switch to the Color workspace by choosing Window > Workspaces > Color.

Experiment with the Faded FilmSharpenVibrance, and Saturation controls in the Creative section of the Lumetri Color panel.

Adjustments made in the Lumetri Color panel appear as an effect in the Effect Controls panel if the clip is selected in the Timeline panel.

You can copy effects in the Effect Controls panel and paste them onto other clips.

Remove an effect in the Effect Controls panel by selecting it and pressing Backspace (Windows) or Delete (macOS).

To copy all the effects on one clip to one or more other clips, right-click the clip with the effects and choose Copy.

Select the other clip(s),

right-click and choose Paste Attributes,

select the attributes and effects you want to apply,

and click OK.

Adjust shadow, midtone and highlight color

In the Color Wheels section of the Lumetri Color panel,

drag the control puck in the middle of a color wheel to

apply a color cast.

Use the slider next to each color wheel to selectively brighten/darken the shadow, midtone, or highlight areas of the image.

Switch back to the Editing workspace when you are done

(click on ‘basic correcton’ in the ‘lumetri color panel’)

(click on the white clouds in a clip to remove ‘blue tint’)

(this will decrease the ‘temperature’ + ‘tint’ levels for ‘white balance’)

and create ‘color casts’ under ‘color wheels and match’
