-our ‘bass guitars’-

*as of ‘9 NOVEMBER 2023’*

.

i began recording bass parts with magic dan’s borrowed bass in fall 2005…

(direct-input through preamp)…

for a punchier drier sound than i would attain through an amp (according to joe bell)…

because i didn’t have a bass amp (until i got hold of sean connell’s ampeg via riff sometime in 2009)…

riff brought it over to the watchung basement so we could rehearse there…

i ended up pawning the amp in 2012 down the jersey shore.

then i started running my guitar through my boss ME-50 with a -1 octave pedal to record bass parts for “tabula rasa”…

in 2009, i borrowed my younger cousin nicholas crowley’s rogue “baby” bass to record basslines…

.

.

nowadays i record my basslines with emma wolin’s ibanez gio soundgear bass guitar…

she brought it to watchung one night but i’ve never heard her play…

i even offered to give it back to her in summer 2011 (just so i could see her again)…

but she texted back “you can drop it on the back porch and that’s it”…

so i said that it was destroyed in a fire…

never heard back from her…
