No Room Brokers. Period.

Advertising rooms in a vacant apartment and throwing random strangers together on a lease is sketchy at best. These posts will not be allowed here, under any circumstances

General Code of Conduct for Brokers

This is not a place for you to farm new business. If you aren’t trying to offer help to someone by commenting, don’t comment. Offering to help find someone an apartment is not “Help”. Simply comment that you’re a broker, and you can help someone will get your comment deleted and you will be banned.

No harassment or illegal discrimination

Don’t be a dick. If you don’t like a listing, a room, the price, or really anything… keep it to yourself and keep it moving. You will be banned, but you can apply for your re-instatement if you intend to change. Then after than, bye Felicia.

Illegal discrimination is expressly not allowed. If you are confused as to what is or is not illegal discrimination is, Google it.

Room Posts & Protected Classes

if you are posting a listing for a room (not entire apartments) and you have a preference when it comes to Federally protected classes (Race/color, religion or creed, nationality, gender/sex, age, disability, or veteran status) you are allowed to put that in your post. While this will be allowed, it is discouraged

If you do post a protected class preference, anyone is free to criticize you, and their comments won’t be deleted if kept respectful

Rules for Listings Posted by Brokers

Only exclusive listings are allowed, absolutely NO open listings. You MUST state the broker fee you are asking for in ad, and it can NOT exceed 12% of the annual NET rent. You MUST list your full name, and company email in your post. If you are going to use our community for your gain, you must give something back to it by not gauging anyone that you connect with on here. If any broker goes against this policy, please report them
