(i’ve finally figured out how to rip ‘videos’ from ‘youtube’)
(i use my “junk” laptop for the ‘downloads’ (since i’m still paranoid about “corrupting” my ‘imac’) and then transfer the converted files to the ‘imac’ via ‘google drive’)
(i don’t even have ‘mozilla firefox’ on the ‘imac’)
(though ‘google chrome seems to be a superior browser)
(but i’m guessing “safari” is the best browser to use with a ‘mac’)
(‘PC manufacturers’ could sabotage “macs” while designing “google chrome” and turn people off to ‘apple’)
(the customer could assume that there is something inherently “wrong” about the ‘apple computer)
(thinking it was their fault)
(but the firefox add-on “download helper” (v4.9.13) allows one to rip videos from ‘youtube’ and other ‘video streaming sites’)
(its companion program converts files into types more palatable for most programs) (though .flv files do play in ‘realplayer’))
(*.flv stands for “flash video”*)
(now i’ll just convert the ripped youtube files, upload them to my google drive, download them to the ‘imac’, and then promptly delete them from ‘google drive’)
