(the ‘toresco plan’ instructed us to organize ‘bicep workouts’ into ‘supersets’)
the guiding principle being “total fatigue” of the muscle due to lack of rest between sets)
(as in alternating between single-bar “bicep curls”)
(i would try to put on as much as “45 pounds” on each side)
(just to show off)
(or in the mistaken assumption that heavier weights will lead to more effective breakdown)
(which will then lead to bigger muscles during the “recovery” phase)
(provided your nutrition is properly regimented)
(in high school i was all about “bicep curls”)
(for the pure sexual vanity)
(i thought girls would like me for my muscular display)
(and so i would overdo my biceps)
(in the ‘toresco plan’ ‘bicep workouts’ were paired with “lats”)
(as part of the “pull” workout #2)
(though toresco seemed to lump “lats” with “push” workout in “workout 1”)
(he gave some (iffy) reason for the seeming inconsistency)
